Terms and conditions

General

DEPOSIT

A deposit of £40 is required to secure your booking for cleans. This payment should be made on making an appointment, if this hasn’t been paid your appointment will be cancelled. Your deposit will be taken off your final bill.

Your deposit will be carried over if you book a future appointment.

CANCELLATION

48hrs and above you will lose your deposit.

24-48hrs before the appointment will incur 50% of the bill to be paid.

under 24hrs will require the full price of the agreed cost to be paid.

This cancellation policy to be within the working week and not weekends.

TRAVELING

All miles are calculated from my place of work on George Street Falkirk, FK27EY.

The first 30 miles are free of charge, then it’s £15 for every 30 miles of travel.

Parking fees

If no free parking is available within a reasonable distance from the place of work and parking fees are required then you the customer will be liable for these fees.

Cleaning

ENTRY TO PROPERTY

If I require a set of keys to enter your property for the services I am there to carry out, I will let you know at least 30 minutes before my arrival and 30 minutes before completion, unless other wise discussed and other arrangements have been agreed by both parties.

Any late arrival from you, the client, may result in additional charges. If you fail to arrive within 30 minutes of the agreed arrival time for the commencement of the service your appointment will be cancelled and deposit will be retained. You will be required to pay another deposit if you rebook.

CLEANS

All first cleans will be charged at a higher rate due to the time it takes to undertake the clean. The price will go down if you rebook on to a 8-12 week rota. All cleans are priced individually depending on the size of area, equipment included and condition.

CONDITION OF SALON

Your salon must be in a tidy condition, if there is what I deem to be excessive mess upon arrival there will be an extra charge applied or the job will be cancelled and rebooked for a future date and the deposit will be retained.

Examples of what I deem excessive;

● A bath full of hair from a deshed

● Piles of hair from recent grooms

● A sink full of dirty dishes

This is not an exhaustive list and will be at my discretion.

DAMAGES

I will not be held liable for any damage to fixtures and fittings or equipment unless proved I am at fault. In the event that I am found at fault the full cost of repair or replacement will be dealt with through my insurance.

UNSAFE CONDITIONS

If I deem a property to be unsafe I will notify the owner and will offer to reschedule at a time that the salon is safe to work in.

The deposit will be retained.

Examples of what I deem unsafe;

● Loose wires/exposed electrics

● Excessive mould

● Loose fixtures including floor

This is not an exhaustive list and will be at my discretion.

MOVEMENT OF EQUIPMENT

Due to health and safety of myself and/or employees of AMK Services, items that maybe to heavy or awkward to move will not be carried out.

The movement of equipment maybe required to clean around or below said items, if these items are unable to be moved, the cleaning around or below these will be completed to the best of our ability but some area may be missed.

Servicing

DAMAGES

Damages to equipment i.e. clippers, dryers will not be replaced until all avenues of repair have been exhausted. If I am unable to finish the repair, I will outsource to another company firstly. Replacements of any equipment will be like for like and will only happen once a third party deems the item irreparable. Once all avenues of repair have been exhausted, any replacement will go through my insurance company.

Any equipment that is damaged and has to be replaced will be disposed of by AMK Services according to local council and insurance guidelines.

COLLECTION OF GOODS

Any items for service and repair that has been left at my work address for more than two weeks after the agreed collection date will be sold or stripped for parts.

WARRANTY

There is a 10 working day warranty with all Service and repairs of your goods. If there is a fault after this time, there will be a charge for another repair. By signing below, you agree to the above terms and conditions and for your information to be held in compliance with GDPR.
